Enjoyed staying at the Finlen Historic Hotel for our daughter's wedding. It is 100 plus years old, her wedding theme was the Roaring Twenties which blended perfectly. The chandeliers and setup for a wedding was perfect. The staff was so helpful with a reasonable laundry option.

My ghost runs through these halls. I swear this place is haunted lol Stayed here on tour and the drapes were pretty heavy and there is a vibe of intense historical grit and smoke. Service good. Rooms good. Location is .....a bit dreary

We spent one night at the Finlen. The architecture and lobby are very impressive. Our room was dated, but spacious and the bed was comfortable. The water pressure was good although the drain had a hard time keeping up. There is a free parking lot at the building. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. Check-in and out was quick. The bartender was friendly. I would have no concerns about staying here again if I happened to be in Butte.

I have stayed in Butte during four separate bicycle tours, always in the motor lodge portion of the Finlen. The rooms are basic, but are clean and have a good number of amenities. Also nice to stay in the Uptown section of the city with its neat architecture. But what makes this place special are the friendly and helpful people who work here. I have never met a cross one during my four stays.

Went there for a dinner event. Did not stay there overnight. But I loved the historic woodwork and other restored touches. The service was friendly and professional.

The Hotel Finlen is one of Butte’s most historic and iconic buildings, opening its doors on January 1, 1924. It was commissioned by James Finlen, the son of Irish immigrant and mining pioneer Miles Finlen, and constructed as a grand, nine-story hotel inspired by New York City’s famous Hotel Astor. Designed in the French Second Empire style by architects Shanley and Baker. Throughout the 20th century, the Finlen became a cultural and social center in Butte, hosting presidents, notable figures, and celebrities; guests included Charles Lindbergh, Harry S. Truman, John F. Kennedy, and Richard Nixon at various times. The hotel has maintained many of its original features. Beautiful Ballroom and lobby. I recommend staying in the main hotel to enjoy the architectural features and atmosphere. Parking on site which is very handy. The cocktail bar is like walking back into the 50's. Dark and atmospheric. Open on weekends when I was there last year. I highly recommend a stay here. Within walking distance of many of the historic buildings.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. We were doing a cross country move from MI to WA, and finding pet friendly rooms is already difficult, but pet friendly rooms with cats? It definitely upped the ante. The Finlen Motor Inn was exactly what we needed. Service was spectacular, the location was cozy and quiet, and the room was clean, simple, and pleasant. We were very happy with our stay and plan on returning. We assumed it would be loud because of the busy summer season of travel, but we didn't hear a thing! Take some time to wander the streets and absorb all the incredible historic pieces of architecture nearby. Butte is trying really hard to revive these beautiful buildings and it's worth setting aside some moments to go see them. We'll be back!!
